Church Restoration
Restored the 64' span roof trusses, damaged by termites, at St. Helena's Episcopal Church, Beaufort, South Carolina in 1998. We also completed another phase of the restoration of the church which required extensive straightening of both the North and the South walls. The walls were pulled in by as much as 4" in some areas.
Sill repair and replacement: Replaced approximately 160' of 10"x12" sills under the Mizpah United Methodist Church, Olar, South Carolina. Damaged by termite infestation. Repaired/reframed the remaining sills and nearly all of the studs. Repaired approximately 30' of 10"x12" sills and replaced about 90' under the Schafe Harbor House, Center Harbor, New Hampshire. The damage was caused by decay. The 1801 Burnside Plantation House located in Williamsboro, North Carolina had such severe termite damage that the replacement of approximately 50' of 10 1/2"x11" sills was required.
